Our client is one of the banks in the market. They are looking for a Head of Retail Banking to lead their retail division who will be based in Nairobi, Kenya.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
H\/she will be responsible for providing strategic leadership for the Retail Banking Team, by developing the overall strategy for the unit and implementing the business plans based on agreed strategy and marketing plan to achieve asset, liability and commission targets.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Key Duties and Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Initiate and lead the formulation and implementation of the bank\u2019s Business Development strategy with flawless execution. Qualifications, Skills and experience required:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2022 Minimum of a bachelor\u2019s degree in accounting, Banking & Finance or related discipline (with an MBA, MSC or its equivalent)
\u2022 Drive retail team in achieving a superior level of profitability and return to shareholder.
\u2022 Responsible for asset and liability management (both in terms of volume and quality) for the bank by driving deposit mobilisation and retail lending.
\u2022 Manage overall performance of the business revenue, profitability and growth of the various product lines.
\u2022 Develop strategies for penetrating the various niche markets in the country while performing environmental scanning analysis to identify and penetrate virgin business segments, markets and sectors.
\u2022 Spearhead new product development and innovation.
\u2022 Ensure efficient relationship management activities are continuously carried out to secure and increase share of customer\u2019s businesses in the country.
\u2022 Manage and give direction to all sub units while managing the key performance areas of subordinates to ensure they continuously meet their targets.
\u2022 Ensure business directives and initiatives from management are well disseminated across the branch network.
\u2022 Ensures structures, systems and resources required to effectively service old and win new customers are in place and continuously reviewed using service level agreement (s).
\u2022 Oversee the implementation, execution of various Business Development plans and strategies in line with the goals set out by the Board.
\u2022 Managing, coaching and developing a high-performance team to meet set deliverables.
\u2022 Lead budget preparation for Retail Banking, annual marketing plans and strategies to achieve targeted growth objectives.
\u2022 Enhance client retention by providing a one-stop point of contact for all the client\u2019s needs and requirements while providing world class customer service.
\u2022 Research and build competition intelligence within the market.
\u2022 Motivate and inspire the team by providing information and tools needed to carry out their jobs and meet customer expectations and developing a high-performance team to meet set deliverables.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
\u2022 Professional qualification in Customer Relationship Management and Sales & Marketing Experience
\u2022 At least 10 years\u2019 experience in Business Development 5 of which should have been in a Senior position.
\u2022 Must have experience in Sales, Retail and Commercial Banking.
\u2022 An individual with strong leadership qualities, and the ability to manage change and experience in leading large teams.
\u2022 A consummate professional with demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategies for sustainable, continuous improvement in performance, market share and profitability
\u2022 Highly innovative, performance and results driven individual coupled with good business acumen.
\u2022 An energetic seasoned marketer with a proven track record in Business Development strategies and implementation
\u2022 Superior Relationship Management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills<\/p>\n\n\n\n
