They are looking for a Market Risk Manager for their Nairobi branch. The Market Risk Manager will be reporting to the Head of Enterprise Risk. H\/She will be responsible for the measurement, monitoring, control and reporting of the Bank\u2019s market risk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Key Responsibilities:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Oversee the daily identification, monitor, control and reporting of the Bank\u2019s market risks and ensure these are reported in a timely and accurate manner,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Draft and propose to senior management enhancements to market risk policies and procedures to ensure the market risk monitoring process is in line with bank\u2019s risk appetite and regulatory requirements.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set up and validate standard and rules of market risk measurement on treasury business.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Perform periodical monitoring on risk measurement and follow up exceptions or limit breaches.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Produce comprehensive middle office supervisory reports on treasury business, including market risk, credit risk and operational risk.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee and report risk metrics to senior management.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Review and make recommendations on new products and trading strategies.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Evaluate pricing and valuation models suitability within business context.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Keep track of market movements in local, regional and global markets to forecast emerging risks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undertake market risk and credit risk measurement for trading portfolios.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct model variation exercises for Market Risk Measurement.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Conduct stress testing on trading book as well as treasury investment portfolio.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assist in preparation of regulatory and statutory reports related on treasury business and market risk management for the various executive committees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Oversee limits usage, excesses, escalation and follow-up for resolution<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Specification<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Academic<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Recognized Degree in Accountancy\/Commerce\/Business\/Finance or equivalent.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Degree in Banking, Economics, Finance, or relevant qualifications in Markets, Financial Instruments or Finance; professional designation in GARP, PRM will be a strong advantage<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Professional Qualifications &amp; Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Desired Work Experience<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>At least 5 years\u2019 working experience in a financial institution<strong><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Job Competencies: Technical &amp; Behavioral Competence<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Compliance Assessments: Ability to conduct gap analyses and regular compliance assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Communication Skills: Ability to effectively inform and advise staff subjects on market risk matters.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Attention to Detail: Ensures accurate records and thorough compliance assessments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Proactivity: Identifies and addresses market risk issues promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Remuneration\/Benefits:<\/strong><strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A competitive salary is on offer, based on skills, qualifications and experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To apply, please send your updated CV in word format to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:info@epafrica.co.ke\">info@epafrica.co.ke<\/a>.
