Our client produces premium farm fresh produce by using the agroforestry approach. They grow the world’s best food on next generation farms that recreate the natural world and supply abundance for the future.
They are looking for a Sales Administrator. The role will be reporting to the accounting department, marketing department and farm management/supervisors.
Role Overview
This role is a combination of sales, communication, marketing, administration, record keeping and accountancy. It is both creative and organizational in its hybrid nature. Success in this position is really to create and streamline a flawless sales system for our existing client group and more so to keep growing and evolving potential markets. Create efficiency throughout the series of enterprises on the farm as well as aid in the development of market analysis, pricing and market strategy. Your responsibility heavily lies in creating efficient sales systems, growing a strong clientele with both commercial and private clients, developing and maintaining a strong professional relationship with our clientele, generating new sales leads and increasing revenue for the company as a whole. This position will play a significant role in maximizing the farm’s profits, while optimizing the farms overall internal and external image. It will also promote efficiency in systems for sales as well as administration.
Key roles & responsibilities
Communication (Sales, Events on Farm Activities and Marketing Department)
- Between the farm’s managerial and supervisor members
- Between clients and client networks
- Between our marketing department
- Having a high level of adequate Customer Service Skills
Sales and Follow Up
- With individual clients
- With Shops, Restaurants, Lodges, Schools and Retailers (commercial clients)
- Manage all relationships with existing sales and client base
- Create new sales networks and expand client base
- Track present payments and follow up on all outstanding payments
- Create spreadsheets and reports for accountancy purposes
- Assist in all creativity and branding material
Manage events/workshops/tours/apprenticeships
- Registration for all events and farmer’s markets
- Liaise with farm managers/supervisors to create workshops, timelines and adequate advertising/marketing material
- Manage all farm tour bookings, payments, refunds, and advertising/promotional material
- Manage apprenticeship booking, yearly calendar, payments and general communication regarding the above.
Take a lead in bookkeeping, record keeping, contracts and stores for the farm as a whole
Skills & qualifications
- Record Keeping and Sales experience
- Good knowledge on IT, certain software, and Social Media
- Basic level of accountancy
- Fluent English and Kiswahili
